Bob's longstanding history in our community is marked by 35 years of commitment to high quality service, support and excellence.
Bob Huber earned a B.A. in Business Administration at the University of the Pacific before receiving his J.D. degree from the University of La Verne School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review honor society. Upon graduation, he was appointed Deputy District Attorney, where he prosecuted hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases. Bob has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court and the Federal Appellate Court. He has also served as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem since 1981.
After serving as Deputy District Attorney, Bob moved into civil law and litigation and began his private practice in 1978. He is a seasoned trial attorney with vast expertise in both criminal defense and accident/injury litigation. He also has the distinction of joining the select circle of lawyers who have recovered over one million dollars for an injured client.
Bob, who is currently Simi Valley's Mayor, has held the office of President of the following Ventura County civic organizations: Chamber of Commerce, Simi Valley Community Foundation, Rotary Club, Y.M.C.A., Boy Scout District, and the United Methodist Church Administrative Board. He has also served on the Board of Directors for many other civic organizations, to include the Ventura County Criminal Justice Planning Board and the Ventura County United Way.
In 2009, the Ventura County Bar Association bestowed upon Mr. Huber its highest honor, naming him the recipient of the prestigious "Nordman Public Service Award" for his high ethics, legal skills, and dedication to public service. In 1973, the State Jaycees named Bob one of the "Five Outstanding Young Men" in California. Other civic honors include Chamber of Commerce "Citizen of the Year," "Rotarian of the Year," and Boys and Girls Club "Benefactor of the Year." He is also the recipient of the Ventura County PTA Council "Honorary Service Award," and the Jaycee "Distinguished Service Award."
